"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Hearing Imelda speaking, Arthur blinked and looked down at her. She smiled and nodded at him, "What is it you're looking up at, Arthur? What's your stars, as per se?" She leaned casually against the wall; arms crossed regardless of the rustle of the plastic bag as she crossed one ankle over the over.
He became a little nervous, admittedly. Imelda just looked at him patiently, smiling kindly all the while. She didn't mind him taking time to answer. "I want to go into comedy." Arthur said, watching her smile widen, she looked interestedly at him. "Standup, mainly."
Arthur never thought in a million years that he would cross paths with someone who genuinely seemed to care and want to know what he would say; likewise with how he felt. Imelda Henderson was a little ray of sunshine in an otherwise bleak and dismal life, one which Arthur was more than glad came into his life.
However, he was soon going to set into motion events that even he could not foresee or wholly control, but what's the point of controlling that which needs to be freed and let loose on the world? But then likewise, who says that needing to slowly let go and transform needs to be done alone? Everybody needs a somebody in their corner, and plus; misery loves company.

What will happen when an innocent, vulnerable girl meets a madman who have similar opinions on life? Will she try and run, or will he help her release her true self? "You know, sometimes, life can suck." He softly spoke, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Yeah, it can." He lifted my chin, meeting my eyes. "But that doesn't mean, you can't make it the way you want. And do anything you desire." A smile spread across my face, as he handed me the metal weapon. "No one can tell you otherwise, as long as your having fun." He smiled. "This isn't a game... It's your life. Choose what you do with it. You can make it a dream, or follow the rules, like all these other boring people do." *** She held the gun against his head as she smiled. "Hello there," She whispered, placing herself on his lap. The guy stared at her terrified, which made her happy. She fed on his fear. Taking the gun away, she placed it against her temple, smirked, and eventually laughed. "Please...don't hurt me." He begged. She didn't answer. All she did was stare at him like the piece of meat he was. He began to cry, and yell for help. "Yelp! Someone help us! Help me!" She yelled with him only to break out laughing. "No one's coming," She informed. "Get off me freak! This is a big mistake! You're gonna pay for this!" He yelled. She placed the gun back to his forehead, and shook her head, "Say hi to Daddy for me." *** I do not own any Marvel Or DC comics characters. Wanting to be a superhero and becoming one, are two completely different things. But becoming the opposite? That's way easier. And sometimes it's not on purpose. Fate didn't want me to be a hero. I was a fairly normal girl, growing up in Central City. A city where superheroes and super villains didn't exist... until the particle accelerator exploded. Many people were turned into these metahumans, me being one of them. Likely one of the only changed nine year olds at the time. My parents were both scientists for Star Labs, being two of the many others that died in the blast. Needing to get away, I decided to move to Gotham. A good city to hide in. Maybe it wasn't the best city to move to, but, in the end, I'm glad I did. In the crazy town, I was adopted by the two craziest people there. The Deranged Duo, Harley Quinn and Joker. "Rescued by villains, who knew?" I say. "Villains rescue fellow villains," Joker says. "Sounds funny coming from you," I scoff. "Aww, is that the way you should treat your saviors?" Joker teases. "I could've taken them," I scoff. "Why did you save me?" "We watched you take out the last group of thugs," Harley says. "We've been looking for a protégé, sorta like how Batsy has that sidekick, Robin, was it?" Joker grins. "We like you. You're funny." ...
