But ignore this book if you want to avoid spoilers! (Also this takes place before the epilogue series "Steven Universe Future", the final season of SU) ⚠️



After the crazy, almost catastrophic events of Spinel's attack on Earth, most of the Crystal Gem crew are on the lookout for danger, well, that is apart from a gem named Bismuth, ever since the events of the injector Bismuth has been working daily and nightly on little Homeworld. That is until she met a human that could quite possibly change her mind, her life and her idea on humans. Could a simple friend of Steven's change someone in a blink of an eye.

QUICK NOTE: I do not own Steven Universe, nor the characters, you own yourself and Steven Universe belongs to Rebbeca Sugar, I only take credit for the writing and plot changes that are sure to come when the final season comes out.

Steven, Homeworld, Danger... Diamonds... Those words don't sound too comforting together, right? Who said this was a comforting story? For Steven and the gems, things finally don't go right. When Steven is separated from Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl during the attempt to retrieve his father from the zoo, he is found, and quickly identified as a rose quartz gem... and not just any, but the rebellion leader's own son. Blue and Yellow Diamond create a master plan to finally eliminate the Crystal Gems, and Steven is the key to doing so. All they have to do is play a game of emotions, and things will soon fall into their hands, due to a very unlikely snitch. Steven looks different compared to when he was kid, but after white diamond removed his gem he began to notice that something wasn't quite right so he went to the mirror and look at whats different and to his surprise, his hair was turning pink but thats not all he noticed, his Gem...it began to rotate to that of a diamond so he did the only thing he could think of, he went to the diamonds about this, so say they were shocked was an understatement, so white diamond began to explain that maybe when she removed his gem, the gem itself began to make changes because your human half can't take the diamond powers that are showing so it maybe changing you to be a half-Diamond, steven understood that his gem was only doing what it thought was protecting him. So he just let it happen even though it was hurting when his gem was rotating but white diamond said that it might take awhile for it to rotate. So he was just walking around in pain but doesn't let it affect him and he didn't tell the gems of the new changes yet.
