Ten years after the world of magi went through a radical change into modernity, a magi family considered as heretics even among magi sent an open letter to the world, to "join them in a recreation of the lost grail" as a game. Yearning for a way to grant their wishes after the Holy Grail was destroyed twenty years ago, magi all across the world compete to become one of the seven Masters. The rules are the same. Seven Masters, seven Servants, compete to the worthy one of the grail and get their wish granted even though they cannot reach the "Root" this way or world salvation. A game made solely for the greedy ones. Where will it lead, and what will the outcome be? In the world where magecraft has slowly corporated itself to the modern world, even the old tradition shall become part of it.

"To be a magus is to walk with death." Years ago, his father had told him that, and Shirou thought he understood what he meant. It was only now that he understood the weight of those words. The Holy Grail War had returned to Fuyuki-the same ritual where his father's wish had unleashed death upon the city. Shirou tried to enter the war, but the summoning failed, leaving him a powerless fool in a war of legends. He is surrounded on all sides by those who would harm others. They wear the faces of friends-or, worse, call him brother. Yet he will fight-for the promise that he made to his father... But he will come to learn one terrible truth: No monster is more dangerous than the one who believes that they are the hero. Harem
