Luke Matthews has always led a troubled life; he was abandoned by his parents as a baby and has never been able to settle into the various orphanages and foster homes he's been sent to over the years. Now aged 16, he's beginning to fit into an ordinary life for the first time.
All of that changes when Luke is attacked by a vampire, only surviving thanks to two mysterious strangers with extraordinary powers who come to his rescue. Taken to Underworld, a secret city of mages hidden deep below London, Luke discovers he possesses light magic - a power unseen for millennia. It soon becomes clear that there are people who want to take advantage of Luke's powers, and it's not just him in danger. Kind of stalled with this, but I haven't abandoned it. I may end up doing a partial/total rewrite over the summer and try to actually finish it, if I do then I'll probably start posting the rewrite as a separate book.
