Will he be able to confront his fears and stop this unknown entity or die trying? - This is a story that's full of angst and takes some dark turns (at least I hope so), Elira goes by El, Ells, and Elli, as well as some fake names. He is at least somewhat aware of us, the reader, and acknowledges us often, that's why he takes explains things with oddly, making a comment or two about how he should've known you wouldn't know that thing. Idk I thought it'd be interesting. And by interesting I mean a chance to absolutely horrify you and gouge your heart out :DDD! But yeah I hope y'all enjoy, best of luck.

I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.

Alex lives in a world underground, the human race is divided into groups, the Diggers, those who bury the bodies and dig the holes, the Creators, those who are in charge of everything and watch over everything, and the Announcers, those who only smile their un-squinting smiles and lead the people to their doom, taking them to the arena's. Alex is a Contestant, the fourth and final group. That means that Alex must slaughter and kill everyday, in unending battles in the arena they fight the other contestants, those who also used to be diggers. All the while, Alex has flashbacks of when they were a child, having a mother and sister, and losing them both, and having a chain always around their neck. Always there. Always waiting for you to stop working, so they can strangle you. Always having the Diggers dragging bodies, the Creators watching, the Announcers smiling, and the Contestants fighting for their lives. A Nice Guy by highpitched

Alex, a nice guy with only the best intentions, would do anything for his friends, more specifically his best friend, Hazel. He'd give her the attention she suddenly wanted, the affair she definitely wanted, and the sex she practically begged for. But for some reason, he ends up the bad guy in all of this and just can't seem to figure out why. Follow the point of view of a self proclaimed "nice guy" who manipulates his best friend into "falling in love" with him.
