(Entry for @sciencefiction contest) It has been 20,500 years since we left. It was coming. So we prepared. The space cruiser departed Earth in search of a new hope, a new planet. Of course we failed. Countless worlds were surveyed, but not one could hold human life. So, now we are back. We are home. But this is not the planet we left.

The year is 2083, and for the last 40 years, Humanity has enjoyed a golden age of science and technology, due to breakthrough faster-than-light space travel. Colonies flourished from population spikes, creating thriving economies and large industries. But the peace is soon to be shattered when colonial scientists awaken an alien race. Faced with extinction, a regiment of super-soldiers are sent to find a way to stop the aliens before it's too late.

The year is 2032, it's been years after the Alien invasion of Earth. The world lay in devastation and ruin, being ruled by the Proximan Alien species, humans live in hiding as they are unaware of what their Alien overlords are up to.

In 2180, humanity is threatened with extinction due to climate changes caused by the acceleration of Earth's rotation. The main cause is the use of the sun as a dumping ground for radioactive waste. The sun has started to expand, endangering the entire solar system. A team of scientists, doctors, and soldiers must leave Earth aboard the spaceship Newton to find a new habitable planet.

Sci-fi/fantasy tale. Group of scientists attempts to terraform far far world in a deep deep space... As a small group is losing contact with entire humankind, their task is also to understand why they are there indeed. The otherwise their existence can't have a meaning. As almost complete this story was written some five years ago (2014). If any message, there is a message on how deep should we think what we are in the universe.
