Magic is a complicated thing. Especially when whole planets get involved. Taali and The Fen are constantly on the verge of destroying each other, only stopped by three spiraling moons Balancing the two. These moons are inhabited by the Castaways, the criminals that had performed terrible crimes with powerful magic and were thus cast from Taali, who have no memory of their pasts or what they had done to get Cast Out to the Balance, giving them a clean slate and another chance to discover who they want to be.

Steve is one such Castaway who finds himself alone on one of the moons for several years. He encountered no one, growing more and more lonely and hopeless, until an amber-haired woman he vaguely recognizes steps from the shadows of the forest. A woman that stares at him with unfathomable loss and hatred before vanishing into a portal where he cannot follow. While searching for her, he discovers the Castaways of the darkest moon first, who take him in upon realizing his avid desperation to avoid being alone.

Meanwhile, the people of Taali begin invading the peaceful moons to capture Steve's newfound family, bent on using Castaway magic for Taali's gain, no matter the consequences.

Lucy Caldwell suffered a disaster in her childhood - her house was burnt, which turned fatal for her parents. She grew up in a children's house together with other orphans. She could never forget the fire incident and was sure her parents were murdered, so she always wished to investigate the case when she grew old enough. Lucy, like all the other children, frequents the Spirit School, where children are taught to control their inner spiritual energy. When they reach 15 years of age, they befriend spirits that reside in the vast Spirit Forest in East Land and receive the Bond Item - an object from them which permits them to summon their friends whenever they're in need. Each person is able to form a bond with a single spirit. However, there are certain spirits that never approach humans, are known as man-eaters and have marked severe borders on their territory, eating anyone who trespasses on them. Such is the clan of the tailed foxes - the Huli. Lucy has already reached 15 years, so she goes together with her classmates to the Spirit Forest to befriend a spirit and bond with them. However, while sitting around a bonfire and listening to her classmates' scary stories, she remembers the dreadful day of how her house caught fire in past and, worked up, she rushes off into the depths of the forest to cry off her anguish. But as elders often say, dense forests are definitely not a place for little children to run around, for the danger lies in every corner, as Lucy soon comes to realise... -- The ebook version of "The Guardian Spirit" is available on amazon.com. for $0.99 on the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FSRWVMZ -- The Paperback version is available on amazon.com. on the link: https://www.amazon.com/Guardian-Spirit-Guardians-Nine-Heavens/dp/1717875971/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=
The Moon's Curse by ryanthestoic
22 parts Complete
Long ago, the full moon vanished, leaving only a half-moon lingering in the sky. The people of Luminara took it as an omen of imbalance, and soon, a prophecy spread-a cursed child must die for the moon to shine whole once more. That child? Sera, an ordinary girl who had never truly belonged. But Sera is far from ordinary. She is the daughter of the lost Moon Deity-a celestial being who forsook divinity to live as a mortal and protect her. When her identity is revealed, betrayal follows. A false prophecy, birthed by her jealous celestial sister, turns the people against her. Desperate and hunted, Sera barely escapes as her mother makes the ultimate sacrifice to awaken the celestial power within her. Now carrying a power she does not understand, Sera embarks on a perilous journey to seek the truth of her existence. Her path leads her through lands filled with danger, where she is guided by an exiled warrior, a cursed seer, and a cunning thief. As she learns to wield her abilities, she uncovers the cruel forces manipulating both the mortal and celestial realms. But when she finally reaches the celestial world, she finds it already under her sister's rule, and the dark forces she once feared have only grown stronger. The final battle is not just against the darkness but against her own blood. As war erupts between the two daughters of the Moon Deity, Sera realizes that balance demands sacrifice-a curse that will change the fate of both realms forever. Stripped of her mortal existence, she must embrace her destiny as a goddess, watching over the world she once called home alongside the sister she once fought. In the end, the moon will curse one and bless another. The twin moons will rise once more, and under their light, a new era will begin. A tale of destiny, betrayal, and sacrifice-where light and darkness collide, and the echoes of the past shape the future.
Cassiopea's School for the Gifted by artsykid04
12 parts Complete
In a world where magical creatures and humans intermix, there are two types of magic and two types of people. Dark magic and light magic. Good people and evil people. Our main character is going to learn that your powers do not define who you are as a person. Arion Griffin lives in a society where people with light magic are 'good' and people with dark magic are 'bad'. He comes from a long line of dark magic. Unfortunately, this causes many problems for his social life since his family's reputation precedes him and makes it so no one will talk with him. He is worried it will make his greatest fear come true. He is terrified he is on the path to becoming evil like his parents. Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. He makes friends and learns that just because he has dark magic, doesn't mean he is evil. *Idk if this is actually a good story but I had a lot of fun writing it! :) *This story has been edited
HADES: The Solarus Expedition by AxiomaticError
4 parts Ongoing
In a world where your eye color can determine your status, where monsters roam the earth, how can a team of two siblings, a "child", a priest, a few orphans and the devil really hope to survive? *** Aurora is a thirteen year old student mage who was placed into a boarding school at five years old. It was found out that her brother was magicless, and she's bullied for that. This, paired with his absence, has led her to feeling attached to her brother, and when she is notified of his distant arrival, she is ecstatic, despite being notified during a dire situation. Her life doesn't exactly get better from there, as she is whisked into a world of constantly oncoming danger. Her brother tries to defend her, but can she really be safe with his poor judge of character? Especially in the case of a certain omen of bad luck. Arthur, an eighteen year old adventurer and the brother of Aurora, does indeed have poor judge of character, but he's always been around terrible people. Despite this, he does find the good in others and always tries to show that to his sister. Unfortunately he is always proved wrong by his favored companions, who later reveal the worst of themselves to him. On top of that, he's always seen as less than, and he seems to have accepted that, but at least he understands that the only universal constant is that his sister loves him and he loves his sister. The title character is left ambiguous for a majority of the introduction. It's like he was plopped into the world at the last minute, even though he develops major plot points like the second magic system and the demon hunting. Those aren't even major spoilers, that's just surface level stuff. He's the aforementioned omen of bad luck that follows the siblings, and others that are soon to follow. Though, he seems to be the only competent one, as he saves the siblings time and time again. They almost seem useless to him, yet he stands by them anyway. One begins to wonder... is Ha'des really a demon?
