"Despite my differences, I thought I could change the world for good. I thought I could make a change.

As it turns out, fate didn't choose this course for me."

Death is a Freak, a teenager with spectacular powers, which he refers to as his "Gift." Many years ago, the government attempted to eradicate all Freaks. He and his friend, Syron, are living in a secret society in the woods where all Freaks can be free. Along with Syron and his girlfriend, Fate, Death runs the society. One day, when Syron called a meeting, a terrible event occurs that sets off a chain events that could potentially lead to something sinister. "Does it hurt to die?" she whispered to me. I thought long and hard about my response. Finally, when the correct words formed in my mouth, I said: "Yeah, but it hurts more to keep living." Welcome to my world. ~~~~~ It was a perfect life. A big, beautiful house in the richer part of town. Two loving, happy parents. A dog that was potty trained and seemed to know when to be so cute and cuddly. A school filled with only the smartest students and most professional teachers. Friends who would never do any harm to anyone. Money coming easily and the weather always staying nice. It was the perfect life. Anything anyone could have wanted. Avaley Camber lived this perfect life. Lived. Thing is, when you die, you are not supposed to come back to life. But the Creator has something special in mind for Avaley Camber. As Avaley starts to relive her life again, she's faced with new challenges and new changes in her life. Her life that seemed so perfect has its own flaws. (This is book 3 of the P.O.E. Chronicles, Read book 1 Evolution and book 2 Selection if you haven't already) I never wanted a war. All I wanted to do was to get things back to the way they were and to keep those I love safe. But it turns out that everything was just an illusion, that the reality I lived in was all but a lie. That world was no place to live, and in order to make a better future, a future that so many have sacrificed so much to try and archive before me, I had to fight. And to do that I needed to find out the truth, no matter what horrors lie beneath it. The web of lies, of secrecy, of betrayal, is spun so far, so fine, so wide that I had been seeing only a corner of it. I didn't know if I have the strength to go on, but I know that if I don't step up, the world as we have known it will end. If you asked her four years ago what she imagined herself doing in the future, Abigail Beckett could safely tell you that it doesn't involve political meetings, living in an ancient castle and seeking advice from a three hundred years old Original. Having discovered her roots, she had inherited the responsibility to make sure the world doesn't end by the terrorist group Apocalypse and make peace among POE and Legres. With the fate of many of her friends still uncertain, she must race against time to uncover the Apocalypse's plan, pacify the government, and tried not to get killed by her grandmother. As the narrator, I'm tempted to simply write "Middle Finger" because that is essentially what you'll feel like I'm giving you in telling this story. However, for the sake of not being a complete dick, I'll write a little more than just a description of a disrespectful gesture. This story can aptly be described as crude and deranged. As you may have surmised, a crazy person will be telling this story, and the characters involved are indeed also all crazy in their own special ways. So, given this exercise in mental illness, the topics touched on (in no particular order) in this tale are destruction, death, superpowered wackos, torture, pain, loneliness, chaos, the will to survive, never giving up, giving up and not giving a shit, the desire to protect, failing to protect and causing more trouble than was already present, disappointing and/or abusive parental figures, bullies, unjust punishments, just punishments, racism, violent and usually superpowered fights, sci-fi gadgets, bitterness, sarcasm, twisted and demented comedy, control or lack thereof, weird and awkward high school drama, lies and brainwashing, alien aggression, moral ambiguity, unhinged villains, fantastical weapons, a piece of shit main character, conditional friendship, a fuck load of musical references, anger, fear, depression, extra-dimensional creatures, godly powers, various esoteric connections, pop culture references, and of course, in general, superpowers.

Axel may be adored and worshipped by his peer-but he hates people, except 5. So when a beautiful but closed off girl suddenly enters his group. He is not welcoming of the mysterious beauty despite the pull they both feel. •••• WARNING: This was written many moons ago. I have decided to put it back up because of a large request from readers. However, I was a kid when I wrote this so take it with a grain of salt. *** Like a deer in head lights, I freeze and watch as the car comes towards me expecting to get hit. But to my surprise, the car swerves to the side slightly next to me and comes to a stop. I take a deep breath I didn't know I was holding at the driver's side door swings open and a very pissed off Axel steps out. "Thank god," I mumble and place my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "Blaze?" He says and I hate it. I hate how he says my name as if it's his. Like he knows it's the only thing I want to hear, him calling out to me, looking at me, focused to me. It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."

After I left the Quad behind in NightShade years ago, I thought my heart was broken beyond repair. Shattered. Dust in the wind. But with my dreams of a future sustaining me, I pushed on. Forged by the flames of fucking Fate to fulfill that naive hope. After seven years of hiding, surviving, and fucking strength of will, I thought I had those dreams made into reality. Until even that was taken from me too. But I am fucking Thana Lillith Kage, the last true Necromancer left standing. And I will be damned if I let my enemies take my second family from me. Never. Again. {Warning. This book is still in the editing stages and I work a full time job out in the real world (fml) so the chapters are either a plethora of words or short and sweet. Like I said before, this is a slow burn RH. The beloved Quad will be more present in the next book while I focused solely on Thana in this one. I hope you all enjoy...to whomever reads this ❤️}
