The only advanced element in her life is The Pills, a medicine that's supposed to rid one of the Core Bad Qualities of human life-fear and anxiety. Though many people don't question the system, Adelene does. Through facing the challenges of love, family, and growing up, and with the help of her older brother, she just may figure out the truth behind The Pills, and with the truth about life itself.
