After a meteorite landed on planet Earth and destroyed the majority of the human population, thirteen-year-old Layla is left in shambles. The remaining humans are powerful and with most of the population gone, it gives them a chance to transform the world. They built advanced technology and robots serve as surveillance and protection. Any and all art forms that express emotions were illegal, and you were only allowed to be happy. Reluctant at first, Layla learned to adapt to the new way of life.
Now sixteen, she's living with her aunt and one night sneaks away to an abandoned house. There she finds out hidden secrets about the death of her brother. As more of the mystery unfolds, she starts to realize the corruption placed by the hands of the Council. Join Layla as she discovers secrets to her past and ways to change the future.
