It's been 9 months since Alex escaped from her abusive father, and also 3 months after "The End" started. People were dying of these human-scorpion things who probably was transformed from a medical pill.
Alexandra (Alex) is a survivor. Alex was a nurse at Toronto General hospital when people started coming in, wounded, hurt fatally. From that day on Alex never got a good night's sleep.
So what if she was to meet one of the infected ones?
