After using his blood-bending powers in a bout of rage in front of the demigods, Percy runs away in shame. Well, more like swims.
With the help of Poseidon and some new powers of his own, Percy swims the distance from Long Island all the way to Gold Coast, Australia. There, he rebuilds his life with a fresh start, earning the trust of some fishy friends along the way. Unaware of his family's frantic searching, he tries to put his heroic life behind him.
Unfortunately, the Fates have other plans for him.
The rising of ancient deities continues, and so brings a new threat to the sealife surrounding all of Eastern Australia, including the mermaid pod of Mako Island. Percy must put his interests and feelings aside once again and work together with Mimi, Zac, and the mermaids to stop Australia from becoming the next Atlantis.
