Super Human (First Draft) (Excerpt) (Book 1)

Christen Benton wakes on the side of the road. Her last memory of a fight with her father over the overpriced boarding school he enrolled her into. She barely has time to put the pieces together as memories of a black truck lying across the road return, her father's efforts to avoid the obstacle, their car spinning out of control, flipping and throwing her free, when she spots the upturned car. All she can see is her mother's hand against the glass of the passenger side window, bloodied and so still, she drags her broken body upright, but the car explodes into a fiery ball of fire.
