On her way home from Fall Formal, Natalie Westbrook gets into a terrible car accident that leaves her badly injured and with short term memory loss. While recovering at the hospital, she meets Brian Holmes, her classmate and a cancer patient. He serves as her guide and a companion as Natalie recovers from her injuries. Natalie is unable to extract herself from Brian, a caring, funny and thoughtful person. What begins as friendship for them, is blooming into romance.
	As their love deepens, Natalie is forced to confront the hard truth of Brian's deteriorating health and the uncertain future of their relationship. At the same time, Natalie's memory begins to return and discovers the truth on how and why she had the accident. If cancer won't rip Natalie and Brian apart, then the painful truth will. Natalie is not willing to lose Brian, her true love. Because a world without him, is something she can't fathom.
