After being rescued from HYDRA, Y/N slowly begins to heal. While their physical injuries are visible, the mental ones lay hidden. No one knows what happened to Y/N, not even their new girlfriend, Wanda Maximoff. (Reader is Gender Neutral) /// This is Book 2, and there's Book 1 (More Than Just Friends?). Why not read it first? /// /// Completed On: 22/09/2020 /// /// Update - 29/12/2020 /// The first third of this story and the entirety of its prequel, More Than Just Friends?, were written when I was mentally at my lowest. Its very much a self indulgent thing, but as I now go through and edit it, I realise that some people reading/or those that have read this may be in a similar position I was last year. If so, please know you are never alone, and that someone cares, bellow are two Mental Health Organisations (UK & US) that you can contact. Let me know if you want another country's number and I'll add it. UK Helpline (Mind.org.uk): 0208 215 2243 US Helpline (Mental Health America): (703) 684.7722

The Mimic

"Well, she's a mimic. Y'know, monkey see, monkey do - but a bit more serious." "Yeah, just a bit more serious, Tony." When y/n and Bucky are saved from Hydra by the Avengers, they struggle to adapt to their newfound freedom. Finally being able to think for yourself is great, but nobody mentions the darkness of being alone with your thoughts. Y/n = 'your name', so insert your own name in! For this story y/n's pronouns will be she/her, but if anyone wants a version with different pronouns let me know! ***Paragraphing does get better as the book progresses!***
