Arden Shimizu doesn't believe in fate, the same way she doesn't believe in ghosts or true love or something bigger. And those are probably reasons why she thinks that the whole 'clock on your body that counts the second until you meet your soulmate' is bullshit. And then she meets her soulmate when her clock suddenly jumps forward by 52 years when she's on her way to an anti-soulmate protest. Ironic?- like fucking fate knows it.
Nicolo Favero has always been told that he was a boy with a heart 2 sizes too big for his chest. So yeah, the whole 'timer on your wrist' thing was kinda binding and fucking sucked sometimes, but Nic took comfort that somewhere out there, they was meant to be a person whose heart matched his own uncontainable one.
