Leigh Grierson was seventeen years old when she was locked in her own household, chained to a chair, and forced to watch as a masked stranger murdered her whole family. She can't figure why they spared her.

Shaken up and now an orphan, she goes to live with her godmother, Fiona Roemer and her family. She hasn't talked to anyone since that night, the only way she communicates is through music.

You'll never find her without her headphones in, and when you ask her a question, she gives you her headphones. The song will answer your question and anything else that goes along with it.

When she meets the school bad boy, Tristan Rogan, she is baffled at how he thinks she'll talk for him. But he is intrigued by how innocent and shy she is. He makes it his mission to find out why she became mute and get her to talk again.

But when they both find out the truth about each other, nothing will ever be the same.
