Criminal investigators John Keyes and Jaren "Smitty" Smith are crime solving partners, solving murders being their main thing. A November in a cold, rainy fall, multiple murders occur. All by the same person, based on how precise each murder is. It's all the same, same sharp object to the heart, same way of handling the body. There's no trace to the murders, and the people murdered have no actual connection to anyone who could've killed them. This is either an incredibly skilled serial killer, or someone who knows how the crime investigation works. Someone who knows what to not leave behind in order to be found.
Is the murderer going to be unknown forever?
