Canon Creek, Hochatown, Oklahoma was a largely unremarkable town. That all changed when Pastor Samuel Carter returned from seminary with a new dedicated following. Girls started disappearing and turning up in the  Creek. 

Daughter of Police Chief, Grace Jackson, is missing her best friend Bea Miller. Always a free spirit, the town has speculated that Bea has taken off like her mother. But why is no one concerned? Grace knows Bea wouldn't leave without a reason and she wants answers.
