AMERICAN HORROR STORY meets THE HANDMAID'S TALE with a bit of WESTWORLD weaved in Four women, fresh out of a super secret governmental experiment, are dragged back into the laboratory where they lived--to save the world from the specimens they helped produce. ***** It's 2050, and the world--in particular the not-so-United States of America--has undergone a lot of changes. A dictator who refuses to relinquish his presidential power reigns over the country, and humans--especially women--see their rights diminished more and more each day. Some are forced to enter special programs to stay safe from men who seek to harm them, and others accept to be part of freaky experimental trials in back-alley labs for a bit of cash to pay the rent. Four women who participated in one such trial--one *actually* sanctioned by the US government--are coping with their new lives when a member of said lab comes to find them, to let them know that the experiment they participated in has gone awry... and they are the only ones who can help fix it all. *TRIGGER WARNING for gore, violence (especially towards women, but NOT domestic abuse), oppression (to women, mostly), explicit language, possible sexual situations inappropriate for readers under 18. In a world ravaged by a virus and plagued by conflict, a girl named Pandora Meyer recovers from the virus that took her memories and lives with her father, Abraham, in an isolated cottage hidden by the thick forests of the northern peninsula of Michigan. One day, she saves a boy who says his colony needs help. The southern peninsula was taken over by a cult hellbent on either growing their numbers or wiping out sinners, and they want to expand northward. As she helps the northerners fight off the violent cult, she must figure out who she is and how to survive in a harsh, unforgiving world where one slip up will kill you. However, she soon begins to wonder who the real enemy is. They say the Pandora of ancient myth opened her box and doomed humanity, but can this Pandora save it? P.S. In the scorching desert, a young boy slowly opened his eyes, groggily taking in his surroundings. He was met with a sea of unfamiliar faces - teenagers, all around his age, scattered across the endless dunes. The blistering sun beat down on them, relentless in its ferocity. As the boy struggled to sit up, he noticed the mix of fear, desperation, and determination etched on the faces around him. Some were huddled in small groups, whispering among themselves, while others wandered aimlessly, searching for something - anything - that could help them survive. The boy's memories were hazy, but one thing was certain: they were trapped. There was no sign of civilization in sight, just an endless expanse of sand and rock. No buildings, no roads, no rescue in sight. Panic began to set in as the boy scrambled to his feet, joining the throngs of teenagers searching for answers. How did they get here? Why were they trapped? And, most pressing of all, how would they survive in this desolate wasteland? As the boy joined the desperate search for survival, he realized that he was not alone in his quest for answers. {WARNING: This is an original story of mine, and has nothing to do with any fandoms. I understand if you don't want to read it, but it would mean a lot if you tried it out.} Humanity is falling apart, and only a few people are keeping it together: the Purebloods. They fight against the violent, erratic mutants with what little sway they have left, struggling to keep humanity from falling to pieces. the mutants, on the other hand, are trying to stop the Purebloods and get them to embrace their mutant side so everyone can live together and cease fighting. After a horrible accident, Stephen finds himself caught in between the two sides, struggling to understand himself and his other half as he battles his morals and friends. BOOK 1 From the moment the Declaration of Independence was signed, there were people who didn't agree with it. This included a small group of politicians who called themselves Chaos. They vowed to someday take over America and start over with a utopian society where everyone would have a common goal. They slowly infiltrated the government, filling it with corrupt leaders. They planned a mass attack on the U.S. on July 2, 2076, Americas 300th birthday. On that day, they assassinated the president and began bombing in New York. Unfortunately, Chaos only had about 200 soldiers so they came up with a technology to implant a chip in the nervous system and essentially control them. So basically, each solider could make a civilian a soldier and the civilian would be forced to fight and make soldiers of their own. The whole operation snowballed and everything went according to plan. Unlike in other stories, there is no hope and the only way to survive is though the CPO (citizen protection organization), created by Benjamin Franklin. It's a system of secret subway tunnels, used to evacuate civilians to safely. Out story begins on July 2, 2076 when the first bomb drops. Madalyn Grace and her friends are caught in this apocalypse and must find away to leave.
