A supernatural Fanfic!
This story begins as an intelligent young girl, only 7 at the time, watches her family get slaughtered by mysterious strangers with terrible teeth. She is almost killed herself, but a man and woman burst through the door and save her, identifying themselves as "hunters".
The rest of the story follows the life of Jaimie as an adult, after she has become a hunter herself and befriended another woman by the name of Jennifer; soon enough, they meet the Winchesters and an angel named Castiel.
And yes, there in this AU, Destiel is cannon.

What Makes a Hunter
Cas, Dean, and Sam have been hunting together and splitting off to take smaller jobs. The story starts with the three of them on three separate hunts. Cas is human and wounded. He shows up at Dean's motel in need of help. What proceeds is the two of them meeting up with Sam and going on an involved hunt, over the course of which Dean and Cas slowly figure out their feelings for each other. The brothers are stationary, staying at Bobby's, which means they have to go to high school. In Math class, Winter notices Dean has a particular interest in a guy named Castiel Novak, so she takes matters into her own hands, juggling hunting, homework, and a relationship that isn't even her own. Things work out just fine until an awry incident causes Dean and Cas to go missing after school one day. Soon after, a life-threatening trade may just cause Winter her life, but maybe it's worth it. This story involves Teen!Cas and Teen!Dean, so I suppose you could call it a high-school AU. The story is under major construction, so some parts are going to be a little jagged until i can go back and edit them. It's non-slash, but more on the fluffy side.
