500 years ago, the vampires revealed themselves to the world, intending to take over the world and rule over the humans. However the humans fought back, utilizing those amongst them with a capacity for magic - magicians. This was the Great War, humans versus vampires, which ended a hundred years later, with the humans winning at great cost.

Now, vampires are merely a myth, magic is a carefully curated resource that determines whether or not your country has influence or not, and the humans have slowly rebuilt their world to a pre-war state. However, not everything is as it seems. Alexis Hardy, the former heir to the Azure Dragon Clan, meets an old mentor and friend, Alexis Atherton, who is a vampire that terrorized the world during the Great War. He invites her to dinner...and things start getting weird after that.

The story is divided into arcs.

The Numbers Arc  - from "First Date" to "Interlude - For Queen and Country" - Alexis Hardy starts learning more about the world that Alexis Atherton inhabits. But things start getting a little pear shaped with vampires thown into the mix.

As they work together and find a rocky truce between themselves they travel the city solving crimes with a magical association. As they fall for one another a dark figure lerks in the shadows, plotting something sinister for our mage Claire. Could this dark figure perhaps have something to do with Claire's unclear past? Can Raven, a Black, somehow save this woman before she's taken from him forever?

New magician "Centy" has finally had a chance to enter his dream job, exploring the "Magician's Deathwish", the thousand-leveled dungeon that many kings and queens have sought. The organization "House of Endless Nights" has been created for this very reason. Centy finally meets his dream team in the qualifications, The "Scouts of Hysteria", the 12-man team that are the main force of the House of Endless Nights. (English isn't my first language, so pardon my bad grammar.)
