A young timid girl by the name of Rosemarie Lane is bullied mercilessly in Derry Maine. Her best friend is Mike Hanlon. The two being the only negro children in Derry instantly took to each other because they understood each others pain. Rosemaries is under the care of her oldest brother in his mid twenties. Rosemarie is soon brought into the losers club and trouble then ensues.
