Born into her island's secret band of Super Heroes, 17 year old Momoko Lins, a.k.a. Shadow Warrior, is used to being afraid; afraid of her secret getting out, afraid of failing Junior year, and afraid of living without her dying mother. As she leads her double life, fighting bad guys by night and making it home in time to cram for her History exam, a series of suspicious attacks on her own kind hint at the possibility of a manufactured super villain, she realizes her super powers are no match against this unknown science.

As her beloved home is held hostage with fear, Momo searches for answers about this unbeatable rival who is hell-bent on killing her and all of her fellow super heroes. Soon she'll find herself cape-deep in an underground drug-ring conspiracy whose true intention is far more sinister than anyone suspected.

In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again. Or in other words, my unintentional and accidental ripoff of My Hero Academia :/ Blurb is a work in progress

Kameron Springfield is determined to get through her senior year of high school successfully, and drama-free. Well, maybe it doesn't help that her next-door neighbor of 10 years was also her life-long nemesis. And sure, maybe one accidental, drunken night between them changes things. Those feelings of hate she once had for him are now spontaneously transformed into lust. However, Kameron's convinced that any sparks between them aren't fireworks-- but bombs. And Axel Conynghim is the last boy she'd ever, ever want to consume her thoughts. But no matter how hard she tries, he seems to always do it anyways. So really though, isn't it inevitable?
