Gwendolyn is an escapee from an insane asylum. Yes, she is insane. Yes, she only comes out at night and uses a fake name so as to not be caught. She gets jumped by a demon on a grocery trip one day, and starts tracking them. Then she she meets Jafar on a Kill.
Jafar is a 19-year-old college freshman who doesn't really want to be there. Being nearly killed in an misattack? To him, that was fun. So, when Gwendolyn comes along and drags him from his normal life, he is happy to go.
Danielle is a high school drop out with anger issues. Being surprise attacked by a hellhound? Not exactly on her bucket list. She is 'saved' by Gwen and Jafar, and she decides to join them.
