Elizabeth Burns has set out to get her life back twelve months after she and her family were abducted and held captive for two years. As far as she knows, Elizabeth was the only member of her family to make it out alive. She can't remember how she escaped, just that it wasn't easy. After an ongoing year of treatment and therapy, Elizabeth is finally allowed to live in a small house on the coast of Maine and is encouraged to welcome normalcy back into her life. But how can she pretend everything's looking up when a stranger seems to be following her every move? What might have been made to look like a chance abduction may be more then meets the eye, and in a world full of demons, will Elizabeth be able to face her own?
