Thomas is a lawyer by profession and leads a very well off life. Everything seems to be perfect in his life. He has the perfect score, works in one of the top firms and earns well. He is everything someone can desire to be. ___________________________ His life changes on 21st January. This day will always be remembered by him as well as the whole NYPD department. The day started to be normal except when Thomas woke up, he did not wake alone. He woke up next to a dead body. A pale women with ginger hair lied peacefully next to him. The only thing not peaceful about her was that she was dead and Thomas did not have the faintest clue as to who this lady was. Before he could understand anything he heard a knock and it was the NYPD at his door. This was the end of his time. Or maybe just the beginning. ___________________________ Ps- please read "Before the hurting" before you move on to the first chapter. It's all linked. ___________________________ The poetry in dedication is self composed so please don't copy. ___________________________ #94 in action-thriller (19-04-2020) #110 in lawyer (19-04-2020) #100 in beginner (19-04-2020) ___________________________

COMPLETED✅ The punishment for murder is the death penalty, what about love? "Innocent until proven otherwise" Does this apply to matters of the heart? A story in which a lawyer ends up defending an inmate convicted of rape and second degree murder- that he claims he never did. Is he guilty? Is he innocent? Most importantly, is it morally acceptable to fall in love with an alleged murderer and rapist, let alone a client of hers? ❣️❣️❣️ Excerpt: When his shirt is dangling from his hand with him lifting it up towards his face to wear it, I snatch it from his hands. Throw it on the table beside me and grab his neck with one hand and my other traces his defined abs, and kiss him with full force. I thought he might pull away, saying he doesn't feel the same way towards me and I'm just his lawyer. That we're adults and need to refrain from acting like hormonally-driven teenagers. On the contrary -to my surprise - he kisses me back with the same amount of intensity and passion. One hand is on the side of my face and the other is holding me by the waist. We both taste like waffles and fresh strawberries and it's not something to complain about. Only when we're both out of breaths, we pull away, he smiles against me "What was that for?" He asks with his both hands on my waist now. "I've been meaning to do that for a while now" I truthfully answer his question. He has been on my mind 24/7 non stop from the moment I took his case. ❣️❣️❣️ *contains mature themes. *contains swearing. 8/3/2020 -> #1 in OnTrialForMurder #2 in notmeanttobe 8/8/2020 -> #3 in wtfamidoing 10/16/2021 -> #13 in fml 7/20/2021 -> #1 in ihateeverything 10/10/2021 -> #39 in mixedfeelings 4/18/2022 -> #1 in prison #2 in murder #1 in lawyer #1 in damaged
