Donatello is razorback musk turtle. Michelangelo is chinese softshell turtle. I write warning here so it won't be a shock: turtles aren't truly brothers and Splinter is only a sensei. It is just "what if" thing. Raph and Leo are step brothers and the story focuses on those two as they deal with family drama.
