Ember Grace McKenzie is a tiny fireball of a princess who, along with her brother, was displaced from her home in her early childhood. They two children were raised by their parent's closest friends and allies, the King and Queen of Thenoles, a kingdom to the west of their homeland.
Ember decided that she will strive to take the position often afforded the second son of a royal couple, that of the king's right hand and general of his armies. Watching and learning alongside her adoptive parent's own second son, she must overcome the challenges her gender and stature place before her, as the fire burning in her heart spurs her on.
Through the trials she faces, Ember learns the value of loyalty and love. Uncovering more about the world she must conquer while learning about the fire blazing within her, driving her forward with an undefeatable passion until she finds a treasure buried within her own heart, that she will fight with everything in her, to protect.
