Silas Young and Delilah Kahn met in their lowest points of their lives. After Delilah's latest attempt at her life her mother forced her to do therapy with the convent, which meant entertaining prisoners on death row. There she met Silas, a murder of the highest decree sentenced to death at any time. Through the guidance of a loving father and a spunky nun their broken lives began to mend. But just when everything seemed to be getting better it stopped.

Her blood sugar fell, and her face became pale, feeling dizzy. Her heart began racing as she saw me staring at her. The drawing she just found was a realistic depiction of myself smiling at the person who saw it. Unlike myself, who felt joy and inspiration from seeing father draw me this, mother was scared witless. Her legs became jelly, her body was paralyzed. All she could do was stare at the drawing, knowing that no one could have drawn this except an adult. And she knew I did not talk to any adults- or did I? Now she couldn't be too sure.
