Ellen's mother died four weeks and three days ago of cancer and now, living with her brother and goaded into therapy, she is slowly attempting to settle back into a life with three old friends who have grown up and left her behind. On a whim, one storming, hazardous night, she wakes from a recurring nightmare and ventures into the woods with Benny, House and Kelly on her tail. There, they find a strange underground building and an even more peculiar, dark haired man - with the number ".00" embedded along his cheek bone - who is bloody, bruised, and passed out cold on the floor. After saving the stranger, they realize that leaving him there to die might have been the smarter idea. First of all, there is something he is not telling them about his various tattoos, namely the sickly one engraved one on his face. Second, he's put Kelly in terrible danger. And third, he's not that great of a person. Pushed into an adventure to save Kelly, Ellen and her friends convince the man to help them and find out that there's more to life than what's in front of them or behind them. A-lot more.
