A nuclear fallout is one thing, but being forced to do hard labour with minimal food or water in scolding weather is another. And thats exactly what the Factory is. Nicholas has been walking across states barefoot with his family to get to the fallout shelter they heard on the new weeks and weeks back. When they get there its nice for a few hours, they get showers and water and food, then they're thrown out and forced to work rather than die or get thrown back to the Outer. Though it's rough, a boy named Marcus is quick to befriend Nicholas and his family, and as they grow closer and closer, romantically and mentally, its bound that they caught. Thrown back out to the Outer with only Marcus and no family, Nicholas makes it his personal duty to destroy the Factory and save his younger brother from the hell thats left with him. Though it's hard to accomplish that when you have an army of soldiers after you and gangs know of you and won't help you for the world.

It's been exactly a hundred years since a nuclear explosion destroyed the entire earth, making it unable to live on it as the radiation would spread and rise quickly, becoming deadly minute by minute, killing half the lives on earth. Some of us got to survive with the help of the government which built an entire city that would protect everyone from the virus that appeared right after the radiation went away. The city was like a fortress, no one could enter and no one could leave...except the people executed who defied the government rules. But who thought that...together they might witness the end of their world?
