They stop laughing and look into each other's eyes. How they've missed this. Aaron intertwines his fingers into hers and starts to lean in.

But Aphmau pushes him back, "We can't." She says.

"Why not? We both want to."

"Cathy may have been crazy, but I'm doing what she was doing. She told me something, back in the file room. That we have different lives." She says, "And she was right. I don't want you to love me because of an arrangement. I want you to love me for me. And you can't do that if we really don't know each other."

"So what are you saying?"

"I want to get to know you, Aaron. Really get to know you. Can we try this again?" Aphmau asks.

Aaron nods. "Hi, I'm Aaron Lycan." He sticks his hand out in front of her.

She smiles and shakes it, "Everton. Aphmau Everton."

■According to Plan Book Two■

Ten months later and everything and everyone seems in place. Well, almost everyone seems in place. Derek's getting better and Cathy's locked away along with her parents.

Aphmau and Aaron are still friends, but does Aaron want to be? No. He wants way more than that. He wants to be able to call Aphmau his and only his? But does Aphmau feel the same way. No.

Well, no was all he knew. Deep down, Aphmau desires the same thing he did. Something special.

But oh, does fate has a wicked way of playing out. With Cathy gone, it was time for Jenny to shine. With Aaron's old assistant out of the way, Jenny landed herself a spot as his new one.

This was her chance to take Aaron for herself. Too bad Aphmau's been offered a job there too. This is a battle for who gets to be Lucky Mrs Lycan. One sided at least.
