This is the misunderstood story of two smitten teenagers.
Bella- A fifteen year old girl on the first day of her freshman year, hoping she would find her true love like all the girls in the books she reads. When she heads to school on the first day, she'd never expect what she finds.
Quentin- A dark, self-harming boy, that never expects to fall in love. After seeing his parents relationship crumble at the age of two, and seeing his dad slowly become nothing, and all of his mothers relationships fail.
Catherine- Bella's newest best friend that quickly becomes jealous with this new found crush and slowly begins to distance herself from Bella in the following year. Everything seems ok until Lyndsy, the new girl comes along.
Lyndsy- The new girl that steals Catherines attention. As she gains feelings for Catherine, everything between Catherine and Bella fall apart.
Bella's Family- Her best support system.

Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
