A story I wrote for the school writing competition.
Do you know what it's like to be driven insane by your own kind? Siren does, siren is just that, a siren, she chose her name to annoy those who loathe her so much. They sent her away, her insanity driving her mad? Will she wait to get home, and be killed by her family or will she end it herself? Why did she need to leave her home? The depths have a numer they call you by name, Davy Jones calls you, so fall asleep, fall asleep and dream.

The Siren's Call
➖After her mother's death, seventeen year old Karis tries to drown herself and is mysteriously saved by a boy who assumed she was unconscious. But some things he says don't add up, and he realizes the consequences of his actions, since saving drowning humans is against the law. So he gives her two choices: Never speak a word of what happened and go back to whatever life she despised so much, Or Come with him to an underwater city she never thought existed. After choosing the latter in a risky gamble, both her and the boy might be in for more than they bargained for when they discover the city is under attack. Will they be able to save it and the people in it in time, or will following the boy be a big mistake? Everyone is always so excited about their 21st birthday. It means you can drink and go out to clubs. Which are the normal things that you usually do when you finally hit 21. After travelling around to many different places in Italy, Nathaniel arrives at The Amalfi Coast. From there he decides to board a small boat cruise that goes around some of islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea. One stormy night, Nathanial decides to wonder around the boat; when out of nowhere he hears the most beautiful voice he has ever heard, sing an enchanting song. Nathaniel then feels like he has no choice but to find the owner of the lovely voice. A Mermaid for the Lonely
A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. I've used her character to help me through tough times and I am revisiting her. I want to make sure I have a place to remember her story, and make it a happier one than before.Concluida
