Kakashi started ignoring his little brother after his mother died as it hurt him more as he looks a lot like their deceased mother. While growing up, Naruto continued to do his best to get A + in all school-related activities, learning to play different types of instruments, learning to dance different types of dances, mainly ballroom and ballroom dances, correct etiquette and other things. He did all of this just to please his dad and get his attention, but he started quitting because his little brother started taking straight A's too and just like before Naruto was blown away again. Having a strict father who expects you to fulfill his own expectations just like your older brother always did and diverting his time in studying, trying to meet his own expectations and taking care of his younger brother.
