The Butterfly Void

Ladybug and Chat Noir have always been trying to beat Hawkmoth, but what will they do once he's actually defeated? Realizing that Hawkmoth's defeat leaves behind a void of power that a new, worse villain might try to fill, Marinette takes up a burden to save Paris from that possible new threat. Meanwhile, Adrien struggles with the knowledge of who his father really was and the fear of one day being like him. Will both Marinette and Adrien avoid becoming the threat that they fought for so long?

(This fic is set at an unspecified time in the future. Information from seasons 1-3 will be taken into account, but it may not follow cannon exactly in terms of how the Miraculous are used, etc. Obviously I don't own any of the characters and stuff from the show)

I will try to update this fic every week on Saturday at about 3:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time), but if it's different I will let people know. I have no idea how long it will be, but I promise not to abandon it without resolving anything. Feedback is much appreciated, but it's worth mentioning that I do this for fun so I may not bother with improvement edits if they get in the way of my enjoyment of writing it.
