Virgil has the next couple years of his life planned out: he'll graduate from high school and study Graphic Design in college. His roommate will be his best friend, Roman. At the end of college, he'll move into an apartment, get a boyfriend and start his life.

But as he gets caught up in how he really wouldn't mind that boyfriend to be Roman, his high school throws a three-day school trip at him and his friends.

He gets placed in a cabin with not only Roman, but his two other friends Patton and Logan. The four of them are also in an activity group together, which means that the four of them will be around each other for most, if not all, of the 72-hour period.

So, here Virgil is. Stuck far away from home in a cabin with his crush. For three. Whole. Days.

But... let's just say that Roman's going through the exact same thing.

'Looking for quiet roommate.' 'Located in quiet area.' 'Apartment has previously received noise complaints.' Virgil groaned and tossed his phone onto his bed, burying his face in his hands. He just needed an apartment that would be okay with his job. Trying to keep to his price range and find what he needed was proving to be so much harder than he thought it would. This would be his first time moving somewhere that he didn't know the owners of the place beforehand. "Welcome to YouTube life, idiot." Virgil grumbled to himself. He picked up his phone again, going to close out of the app he was using, but suddenly a line on one that he hadn't looked at caught his eye. 'Must be willing to allow for eccentric work ethics and schedules, as owner of the apartment works independently online.' Virgil tapped on the listing and began to read. 'Four bedroom apartment, looking for up to three roommates. Apartments beneath and above are both empty at the moment, noise is not a problem so long as residents are courteous. Preferred that applicants are male.' Virgil stared at the listing. This was so... so perfect. He closed the app and tapped his messenger app. 'Hey Pat, I think I found something.' Disclaimer: I just reread A Lesson in Practicality by @residentanchor, so there might be some things ever so slightly similar to that, but if there are I am not doing it on purpose and I apologize. Characters belong to Thomas Sanders, as we know, and all Sanders Sides ships are tagged because if I'm completely honest I haven't fully decided what endgame ships are going to be. Hope you enjoy! #1 Thomas Sanders || 8:2:18 Virgil never sleeps. He never eats, never drinks. All he does is work from the comfort of his room, never talking to anyone; never going outside. Without realizing it, he has become famous to all the other sides - "The Drifter," as the youngers' like to call him. Never showing up for meetings and lessons, Virgil has become almost a legend, someone the lesser Sides look up to, admire almost, and someone the Upper Sides, aka Roman, Patton, and Logan, despise - a bad influence. They have deemed him "Unstable," a title only one person has had before. Something must be done, but will it do more harm than good?
