Nefera Angel Applewood is from New York who doesnt want to take over the family business or get married to some guy that she doesnt like at all. All she wants to do is be a photographer and a writer while she hides from her father who wants to ruin her.
When Nefera arrives in a small town diner with nothing but her camera, car full of clothes and personal belongings, and a new bank account with money she took from her old account.
Reginald Firebrooke (Reggie) an outcast who knows way too much about mysteries that he is writing his own novel about what happens in Valtoran. His version of the small town he lives in.
Jason Andrews the small towns golden boy, his family lives in the oldest house in Valtorian. He will be taking over his fathers maple syrup company which is hiding something big. He needs help with solving his families biggest secret, so he enlists the new girl and the outcast for help.
With the help of Nefera and Reginald, Jason gets answers that he never thought had happened right before his eyes. He also realized that the new girl has her own secrets that she is hiding.
Told from different point of views and has two timelines one from the past and in the present.
