Who will you put your trust in?
What will you accept as the truth?

"Who'd have thought, eh? Jeanine's little assistant at my very own doorstep. Why are you here?"

***

She didn't belong where she was. She was scared to go where she belonged. Careless with her future. Worried about the now. She was entrancing, captivating, entertaining. She was a mystery, even to herself. She almost fit in, almost stood out. She pried herself into your mind, accidental or purposeful. She was a daughter, a lover and yet just another pawn in the game. She was supposed to be easily controlled. She was supposed to be an easy target.

{BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong? A/N : First chapter is a little sketchy but that is the case with all of my books. I promise it does get a lot better afterwards Start: Feb 06 2021 End: Dec 15 2021

COMPLETED (EDIT: In the process of being rewritten! Some of the writing might have you cringing! New chapters will be uploaded once they're all edited and written!) Meet Olivia, she's from Amity. You may think that everyone is Amity is just the happiest people in the world, right? Well, you're wrong. Not everyone at least. When Olivia transfers to Dauntless, where her sister transferred, no one could really figure out why. But will her past from Amity follow her? Haunt her, even? What about a certain Dauntless leader that seems to like her? "Training is over for today, everyone out!" Eric roars and as I'm about to walk through the door, I hear his cold voice yet again, "Not you Via, you stay," The others flood out and I stay planted near the door, he slowly stalks towards me and I find myself walking backward until I've hit the door behind me, I slightly jump from shock and let out yet another shaky sigh, he puts both of his arms beside my head, easily towering over me. "I'm going to break you," he starts, speaking darkly as he looks directly into my eyes, "I'm not sure how, but I will, and I'm going too," "You can't break something that's already been broken by someone else," I whisper, barely audible but I know he hears it. "Who could have possibly broken you? You lived in Amity, Baby doll," he snarls, and I push him out of the way with my shoulder. I walked out of there. (As of 3/28/2019) #1 in Divergent-12.7 stories. (Best) (THIS STORY TALKS ABOUT SOME MATURE THINGS THAT MAY TRIGGER SOME PEOPLE.) I do not own Divergent, I do not own the original Divergent characters, but I do own my characters. If I could give you but one thing in life, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes, only then would you realize how special you are to me. In a world where everyone has been put into factions, there will always be those who never fits that particular standard. Those are the ones society calls divergent, but are they a threat or not? Here you meet Octavia Pierce, and follow her journey through the faction system as she chooses differently than what she had been assigned to. Her journey through a new faction, where she must find her place and who she is, navigating her way through close friendships, enemies and even love. That cold hearted instructor who keeps her occupied, and on her toes, is there much more to him than what she first sees? This fanfiction runs through both before Divergent, under Divergent and under Insurgent. There's references from both the book and the movies.
