An Avatar: The Last Airbender Fanfiction (Zuko X OC)
"And lastly, we are free, but we are not our own persons."
At this, the student frowned and looked up at her teacher. "How can that be free?"
The beautiful woman smiled, but it didn't reach her eyes like it usually did. It was a sad smile. "You will learn it all eventually, little one. For now, we must practice your footwork."
Mentored from youth by the most notorious entertainer in all of Fire Nation, Chiyo is destined to follow her path to greatness. However during the time of war and chaos, she must decide: Should she do what is right? Should she do as her mentor had always done? Or should she follow her heart?
I do not own any of the characters except for the OCs I've introduced. I do not own the pictures used in the cover and those to be used in reference to future chapters. Any historical details I impart on this story is not entirely accurate and is based only on my limited knowledge of the subject.

Makki's siblings followed their destiny of helping Aang master all four elements while Makki was stuck on a path with the Fire Nation Prince Zuko and his uncle Iroh. After being betrayed by the prince, Makki joined her siblings on their journey of helping Aang. But soon enough, Zuko figures out that his destiny is to join with Aang's group and to teach him fire bending.
