A collection of my 'reading responses'.
Follow me as I delve into the themes of a collection of different novels. Together, we will see how - even though they are works of fiction - they can relate to our lives and the societies we live in. In books, we find truth. In words, we see ourselves.
Note; Throughout these 'reports' I use the term 'Year 12' to refer to teenagers age 16-18. However, due to some more mature themes some novels contain, I have decided to place my target audience within New Adult. Others underneath this target are of course welcome to continue reading, however it is at their own caution.
I do not own the books that the reports focus on, but the reports themselves are my work.

A Big Book of Short Stories
A collection of my ideas. While most could have been cared for and nurtured until they grew into fully fledged books, they have only matured halfway, creating a efficient way to get stuck in your head. I'll also post short stories that I may or may not try turning into novels. From "The Kid is Hot Tonight," a story about such topics as high school parties and domestic abuse. To "Just Another Nightmare," a story about a kind of hell you might never have thought of. This collection will likely make you question if something is wrong with me. Spoiler alert; there is. Love Misunderstood
I only ever met one man I'd call truly noble. He was a man who was misunderstood and worthy of the world, yet everyone saw him differently. That was until I saw his true colours. The more I caught his eye the more he noticed me. We would pass each other, I would always stare a little longer at his back, wondering his story. People used to move out of the hallways if they saw him approaching whereas people would come and talk to me. He kept to himself, I was never alone, he had no friends, I was friends with everyone, I never saw him talk to anyone I spoke to many. we were polar opposites. At least that's what I thought until that day in the library, that is where I will start this story. Everyone is different, I hate the word "different", I much prefer the word unique. Unique is the only way to describe him. This is not just a story about love, it is about helping two souls who act differently but are the same on the inside, it shows the messy parts that aren't shown in movies, the tragedy, and the comedy but most of all the sizzling romance between two broken people who became one. High school isn't as romantic as movies play it out to be, but Nyx finds herself falling in love with people she'd never imagine. She maneuvers around the world within a community and school that has little to no diversity, along with stereotypes and racist ideology that seems to be at her every turn. On top of it all, her friend group seems to drift away from each other causing her to spiral with her thoughts because when it comes to those around you there are times where you think you really know someone but that's not always the case. New friendships arise and so does romance. Tension with her academics becomes more overwhelming than what she expected. Life is taking many turns, not just with her own life but with those around her as well. Read as everyone explores their own life secrets that they have kept in the dark from those around them. Chasing Zero
What lengths would you go to in order to achieve your dreams? Spencer has always seen the world through numbers. While they watch those in negative numbers strive for positives and those in the positives risk everything to stay in the positives, they long for the simplest of numbers: Zero. At Zero, they will experience true tranquility and feel at peace with themself. To help reach as close to Zero as possible, Spencer writes books, novelettes, poetry and more. By sharing their experiences as an agender person living with a mother who doesn't understand them (nor try to), they hope to inspire others and assure them they are not alone.
