The regional tournament is over and the new school season is starting. and together with the chaning places in the classrooms, there happens a lot. Samezuka gets a new captain after Mikoshiba's graduating and gets new powerful members. The old Iwatobi swimming club returns and Ryoma will take a last try to get back on the boards while there are lots of different opinions about that. Haruka, Makoto, Rin and Ryoma are next in the line for graduating but most of them dont even know what to do after school, will they be able to keep a hold on their dreams?

The story revolves around Haruka Nanase, a boy who has always loved to be immersed in water, and to swim in it. And Ryoma Sasabe, a girl who is Haruka’s love interest and wants to make her mother’s wish come true. Before graduating from elementary school, Haruka participated in a swimming tournament along with his fellow swimming club members, Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki, and Rin Matsuoka. After achieving victory, each of the boys went their separate ways. Time passed, and in the middle of their uneventful high school lives Rin appears with Ryoma and shows everyone that they’re a couple now. He challenges Haruka to a match, what shows Haruka’s overwhelming power.
