A few seasons ago, I participated in NaNoWriMo with the goal of writing a story a day for the entire month of November. I was able to do this and ended up with well over 50,000 words for the month. This book ended up with around 43K words, but it is missing a few stories. I didn't want to put anything that goes with "Pearls of the Mother" in the "Illogies." Each day I sat down to write, I had a different mood or something else I was thinking about, and I let that guide my writing process. I think a couple of these may end up with follow-on stories or maybe even books of their own. I hope you enjoy these; I know I do.

And now I had a decision to make. I could travel the most dangerous path through The Gale, the woods inhabited by crooks, thieves, and worse, to find the girl I had left behind so many years ago. This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!

Now the world seems a lot more dangerous and secrets about Jays origins are being revealed. In his hour of need can Jay hold on to the family his always known or is the boy right...can he really be one of them.

This is my first ever NaNoWriMo novel. This is the original draft in it's raw form. The book is about a young girl growing up in a village as part of a training ground for Elementalists. She soon finds out that her destiny will take her to the city of Capitol and will be the only thing that can save it from total destruction.
