I guess that made your color green. Not the green of grass covered in fresh dew, not the green of traffic lights we pass when you let me ride behind you on your dad's old motorcycle, the shine of the light we pass too green, too bright that it stung our eyes. Maybe that's a sign that we shouldn't see each other so late in the night.

"You are so afraid that love will destroy you, that you destroy yourself so that you could save yourself from the murderous hands of those that will never touch you anyways" You were gorgeous, but so was your possessive ex-girlfriend who didn't want you to move on to other women. But there you were, moving on to me, controlling the crowd as if everyone belonged to you. You have the power the fill this room with energy or take it all away; all with that crooked smile and a cigarette in your mouth. But... "Relationships are a hassle," Secret little encounters, the proximity of pristine emotions, bicycle rides, rainy nights, your face burns into my memory and I know that it is brave to love "You've made me realise I don't hate people. If there are people like you out there, then the world doesn't seem half bad of a place to spend a century in,"," I see the end to the chemistry we shared as we sat beside each other that afternoon with energy drink cans in our pale, sweaty fingers, just you and me under the Eucalyptus shade. Drying our sun-burnt bodies under the shade, I can smell your presence like the first time rain hits desert grains, my golden world runs azure and I look at you, And you were looking at me. "Now I understand why men lost their minds and fought wars for women. They must be women like you"
