After being defeated by Sonic and his friends, Infinite had gotten sent to another world--the world in which Sunset Shimmer lives. Once there, The Rainbooms befriend him and teach him friendship. During a battle against The Dazzlings, Adagio Dazzle is sent into Null Space by Infinite. Afterwards; Aria Blaze runs away. Sonata Dusk is scared but, is puzzled why Infinite spared her. Later; Rouge, Shadow, Silver, and Amy Rose come to face Infinite in the world where he is now at. Can Infinite protect his new friends?
