Have you ever thought of what it'd be like in a world where people could wield magic in the form of earthly elements? Fire? Lightning? Air? Water? Ice? Etcetera? In this story, it'll explore the aspects of torture and escape from a prison that you could not escape from before. Mystic, our main character, was celebrating her birthday party quietly without much of a crowd or an audience around other than her parents as she didn't really have friends at her age, none who knew about her house at least. Later on, that afternoon, after everything was said and done and the sun was going to start setting, an ancient enemy from decades ago, born thousands of years ago even, shows up at their front doorstep. The father of Mystic tried to fend off and defeat the foe but failed miserably as he had to bear witness to his wife Ace's demise, being killed soon after her with a sword through the stomach, and as the two bleed out and die, Mystic gets knocked out and wakes up in an unfamiliar place, a prison of a torturous cycle and feeling like she has eyes on her wherever she goes in this building she's forced to be kept in. How will she survive? Will she make it long enough to break out or will she break down and end her own life with a makeshift knife? It's a never-ending journey for survival and climbing out of the gates of hell, and it's up to Mystic as to whether or not she survives.

Have you ever imagined a world in which you could wield the elements of Lightning, Fire, Water, Ice, or even the elements of the Earth? Well, Mystic was dragged into the lineage and her father fought in the war against this guy named Akuma, a life-long war that started way back in roughly 1000 AD, started over Akuma having his pride be hurt and getting his ass beat time and time again, he was sick of it, so he went into an all-out deathmatch with Viktor Hikari, Mystic's distant ancestor who reshape the Kingdom of Eclipse to be a better democracy than it was with its monarchy status, the King of all Elementalist as he wielded three to four elements at once, including his primary lightning element. The ancient enemy who seemingly hid away after his fight with Mystic's father, Salvador, came knocking at his front door, and unfortunate for Salvador, most of his power was sapped by Mystic on accident due to something his father forgot to tell him about. Every time a StormCaller is born, the previous StormCaller God is sapped of most of his/her power when the baby turns six-years-old, and that the effect would last around two years. So, how will it end for Salvador? What does Akuma want? Is it Salvador's daughter? Vengeance? Bloodshed? His house? The City? Find out as you read more about how Mystic goes through physical and mental pain that no human could survive or live with, how she managed to go through all the struggle yet still manages to smile after going through all of the extreme mental and physical pain for a full seven years. Kala had always thought of herself as normal, but when the world ended, cleansed by a power most would fail to understand, she realized she was far from normal. That day, Kala awoke in a fog surrounded by a nothingness that permeated every pore of her body. The only sounds she could hear were her own ragged breaths in the vast and empty darkness. When the light finally returned, she found herself utterly alone and suddenly part of a struggle much bigger than she'd ever thought possible. With that struggle came something else...power. Power to control the elements. Power the likes of which she had only seen in movies or read about in books. Despite her disbelief, it remained...right there in the palms of her hands. Eventually Kala learned to use her power as it was intended. As she wandered the new world, she met others like herself, other Servants with similar abilities who understood the reason for the destruction...for the loss. And then, six years after her world turned upside down, she met him. A handsome stranger in a tiny town in the middle of the West Virginia woods - not a Servant - not like her. And certainly not the type of man Kala had expected to find herself falling for. But the man she met there turned out to be more than just a hero in her time of need. At her side, he would become a protector, leader, confidant, and so much more. Together, they would find themselves fighting a growing evil...a man like Kala, who had been granted power beyond words or description. He might have been a good man once, but his fall was nearly complete. And now he desired only to rule - not to heal. This man would lead a small army against them, but they wouldn't have to fight alone. There was another, more powerful force on their side...one that could change the course of the war to come.

Yet again Darkness is hungry for a war to end it all, but Light will always have troops at the ready. One girl. One kingdom. Eleven friends. Four Elements. No biggie. * I'm Melody, hybrid freak, nice to meet you, strange muggle who I know nothing about. I used to be like you, cluelessly ignorant and uninvolved with the outside world. You know, they have a big, yellow ball of gas in the sky. Weird. Anyway my life became something out of a bad Si-Fi movie, and no, Nicolas Cage isn't in it (sadly). There are two forces in the world, Light and Darkness, and when you side with Light, Darkness gets a stick up its ass and wants you to suffer. My friends and I, we roll with Light, you must know where that leads.... I have a kingdom to learn, powers to master, loud friends to keep in line, a boy that I'm messed up over, and above it all, Darkness to show whose boss. Not as easy as you might think, but this is MY story, and I know how it ends. Being a loyal follower of Light shows me the beauty in life and the devastation it can cause. Don't get me wrong, I love Light, but Darkness makes it hard to stay and fight. * Melody is weird. She's childish. She's awkward. And she's got boy issues she needs to work out. Mel will face evil like no other, but can she do it? Will the scales of Light and Darkness finally be tipped? How can one girl make a difference? This is Melody, a corky teenager, and she wants you to read her story. Like now. Enjoy! Highest rank- #69 in Fantasy (Still cant believe it!!)

This story begins in the country of Britannia. A country where several certain races live with one another. And at the center of these races stood a girl. A beautiful girl with wild molten hair and eyes that reflected the universe. She was the creation of love and the child of wilderness. She was someone full of wisdom, wisdom she had gathered from centuries of experience. Many don't know how she was born, some saying that she was the daughter of the blazing sun while others say that she was born from ashes during an alluring eclipse. The name they called her? Malaika Kya. Angel from the diamond sky. For eons she wandered, visiting many kingdoms and gaining many friends. She battled battles that many would have died from, protecting those she holds dear. Slowly, her family began to grow. Person by person, home by home, kingdom by kingdom. Her heart spreading the biggest of wings. But then it happened. The one she loved most was attacked, almost dying because of someone's idiocy. And so she fought. She fought for her dying family, soon gaining the powers of the internal flame buried deep inside her. Screeching her painful cry, she fought in her new form with all her might. But it wasn't enough as it's hand sprouted from her body. Tears fell from the eyes of her lover, his eyes wide as he watched her body wither in pain. Hey dark eye were gentle a she watched his physical pain disappear, his wounds sealed shut as he snatched her closer one more time. Softly she apologized, saying words she wanted so badly to say before sealing their goodbye with a kiss. After one last smile, she disappeared into the fire below, her body dissipating into the molten flames as her words echoed into the soundless wind. "Mind telling me about that promise again?"

((Originally, Phoenix)) “Leave me alone!” Her form flickered in the dim light. The brothers shared a look. “All right,” one started. “Just let us say something first. We know you have powers; we can sense them on you. We can do this because we have powers too. We call it magic. If you want, we can show you.” “Prove it then.” ~^~^~^~^~ There was a monster inside of her – a dark thing that always tried to claw its way out, ripping her insides to shreds as it went. She found no relief from it, maybe because she had no happy memories to find solace in, nor anyone to find comfort in. And yet, Amber could be the catalyst to setting a series of events that had been prophesied centuries before, into motion, bringing together three more people – the embodiments of the Emblems – to bring magic back to life. But in this underlying world of Adepts, Demons and secrets within secrets, unlocking their potential will be harder than you think. ~^~^~^~^~^ So, this is my 2014 Nanowrimo story, which is basically an attempt to rewrite Phoenix, where it shall go through major changes in plot, characters as well as effects of my new-and-improved writing style. I hope you enjoy it, and please give constructive criticism! {Also, the cover is temporary, till I find someone who can help me with it :P}
