Beth- is the wife of the CEO of one of the biggest knick-knack companies in Georgeton, Pacelli. When she is handed her new baby boy that she and her husband, Nick, decide to name Sean, they discover that Sean is autistic. Suddenly Nick refuses to be home all the time and uses any excuse he can to avoid Beth and Sean. Beth, now left to raise Sean as normal as possible, struggles to hold onto a baby that doesn't want to be held and a marriage that seems to be tearing at the seams.
