And Bill is seemingly to blame.

Once Dipper and Mabel returned to Piedmont, Dipper's sight suddenly failed.

He became blind.

And he blamed it all on one Dream Demon, Bill Cipher.

Years later Dipper and Mabel move back to Gravity Falls to do their high school years.

And in their senior year, a familiar presence returns to Gravity Falls.
