After reuniting with an old friend in a new land, Alicia Hawkins helps the others in the Royal Entourage plan a trap to ensnare their enemy and her maker, Cecil Owen. Being an ancient vampire in their standards, it is not very easy. 

Meanwhile, Fairy Princess Mary-Beth Martin is preparing for her Fairy Queen ceremony amidst marriage preparations. Things are not easy for her. For one, she needs a sceptre to fully enforce her power in the kingdom so it becomes more difficult to steal. For another, she is anxious about her impending marriage to her fiance, Sebastian Ying Wang. 

As for Alicia, she is asked to go to the Temple City to retrieve a gem in the heart of the Temple City for the sceptre. Behind her, looms her past bright and unmistakable. And Daniel is still recovering from his near-death incident just a month ago, though he insists on tagging along. 

She wonders how many more hurdles she has to face this time.
